Cris Dog Care

Our Story

A family, a home, and a lot of rescued dogs.

Cris Dog Care isn't a franchise or a facility — it's Cristina and Abril's own home in Miami, running since 2018.

How it started

Cristina Gonzalez

Cristina is a "proteccionista" — a rescue advocate — who has fostered dogs out of her Miami home for years, long before she ever took in a paying boarder. Her home has almost always had a foster dog in it somewhere: a rescue between homes, a senior dog nobody else wanted, a litter that needed somewhere safe until they found one.

That's the house your dog stays in when they board with Cris Dog Care — one that already runs on patience, not on turning over kennel runs as fast as possible.

The team

Abril — grooming, in the family.

Cristina's daughter Abril runs the grooming side of the business, Cris Dog Grooming (est. 2018) — private, personalized grooming sessions, one dog at a time, out of the same home. No assembly-line shop, no rushing.
